Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Lanesboro Public Schools. We are fortunate to have a school community that is dedicated to providing the extra help we need to offer so many wonderful experiences for our students.

The District will complete background checks on volunteers that fit the following description:

1. Any volunteer who accompanies students off campus (i.e. chaperones for field trips)

2. Any volunteer who is responsible for working with students on campus

All volunteers will be required to complete the Volunteer Application Form below and return it to the Main Office either in person or via email to gstadsvold@schoolmanagementservices.org.

Once you have returned the Volunteer Application Form, the District will email you a link to complete a volunteer background check. Volunteers will need to complete a background check annually. The online criminal background check form requires you to provide authorization for a variety of criminal background checks, including:

• National Sex Offense History

• Criminal Supersearch

• Social Security Number Trace

The online form includes an option for volunteers to request a copy of their own report.
