The girls basketball team has their home opener tonight! Just a note that Leroy-Ostrander only has a 7th grade team and a varsity - both games will be played in the main gym at the school at 4:30 (7) and 6:00 (V). Good luck Burros!

The winter sports season has officially begun as the girls start their season on the road at Alden-Conger tonight! Good luck on your season ladies!

The sophomores and seniors were able to participate in a few microbiolgy labs that were offered in the Mobile Lab Trailer sponsored by Mayo Clinic through Southeast Service Cooperative. The students were able to make bacteria glow, PCR DNA, do gel electrophoresis, analyze DNA from a crime scene, and use multiple microbiology lab tools and equipment.








Better late than never. The 7th grade insect collections from September. It's always fun learning science outdoors.










On November 11th Lanesboro Schools held our annual Veterans Day Program. Thank you to all of our veterans that attended and to AJ Anderson for his message about teamwork and service.


Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the evenings of November 21st and November 25th.
FFA members participated the R-P Invitationals in floriculture, ag mechanics, companion animals and milk quality.
Highlights include McKenna placing 2 and Charlotte placing 8th in floriculture.

Students attended the Women Exploring Trades, Tech, and Transportation event at MSC-Southeast in Winona as well as a Southeast Campus Tour in October and November.




38 Lanesboro 7th and 8th graders participated at the PEM Junior High Ag Challenge. About 300 area students competed in a contest which featured portions of about 10 different contests they can participate in during the year.

Thank you to Sharon Boyum and Anna Courbat for hosting the Southeast Conference Honors Music Festival on Monday here at Lanesboro Schools. All of our students did a great job!



It was Election Day in Ms. Bronk's 5th grade class today! Students spent the last week learning about who is qualified to run for president, the different presidential parties on the ballot, how the electoral college works, inauguration day, and the importance of voting! They even got to do a mock election this afternoon!






Congratulations to Autumn on her 9th place, medal earning, podium finish at the State Cross Country meet earlier today. Great finish to a great season!


Lanesboro Schools will be hosting the Southeast Conference Honors Music Concert on Monday, November 4th at 5:00pm. The concert is open to the public and there is no admission fee.

Teachers competed against the Knowledge Bowl team in an after school practice. It was competitive, but the teachers pulled through for a win. Good Luck to the Knowledge Bowl team in their upcoming competitions.

The sophomore Biology class had the opportunity to see a fish shocking demonstration with the Lanesboro Area Fisheries. The students enjoyed learning about maintaining a healthy population of trout in Duschee Creek. Thanks to Melissa, Vaughn, Jason, and Gavin for providing the sophomores with this opportunity
