Join us today for the parade at 1:30 pm with a pep fest to follow in the park!

On Homecoming, every elementary student has the opportunity to get their face painted by a high school art student. It's always such a fun collaboration! This year we are taking advantage of the beautiful weather and doing it outside!

Homecoming is off to a great start! Cupcakes, pepfest, band, cheerleaders, and lots of orange and black. Go Burros!

Homecoming week athletic events continue this afternoon as the L/FC cross country teams head to St. Charles for a meet. Good luck to all our runners!
The girls team in particular looks to continue an outstanding season. The team has consistently been ranked in the top 10 of the Minnesota Coaches Poll, and Autumn Rakosnik has consistently ranked in the top 10 as an individual as well. Keep it up ladies!

Homecoming week athletic events kick-off tonight with JH/JV football at Kingsland and then continue with volleyball hosting Glenville-Emmons (C and varsity games only).
Good luck to all our teams this week!

The Natural Resources class had a great trip to the almost 100 year-old Lanesboro Fish Hatchery today, learning about the rainbow trout and brown trout they raise to distribute throughout Minnesota! Thank you for this great opportunity!

Today our natural resources class toured the Lanesboro Electric Plant which features one of the state's only hydroelectric sources of energy! We also learned about the solar panels that help power our city. Thanks Jeff for a great tour!

FFA members helped beautify the town for fall!
Working in cooperation with the Chamber, Downtown Business Promotion Group, Big Springs Farm Pumpkins & Corn Maze LLC (provided stalks), Lanesboro Area Community Foundation (funding) the town is now festive for fall!

PICTURE DAY REMINDER!
Elementary Picture Day is September 17th.
7th to 12th Grade Picture Day is September 18th.
Retakes are scheduled for November 6th.

Attention Burro Nation: New this year all home games held in the main gym or at the football field can be streamed for FREE at fan.hudl.com or on the "Hudl Fan" app. Many other local schools are using Hudl to stream as well, so you can catch many road games, too. We will continue to host these games on NFHSnetwork.com as well, but that is a subscription based service. (All other links you see are spam/scams).
Please continue to support our athletes in person as much as you can, but when you can't this is a great way to stay in on the action!

We have a busy 24 hours ahead for our Burro athletes heading into the weekend!
The action kicks off tonight with varsity football home vs. Kingsland.
Tomorrow the cross country teams head to Decorah for the Luther College All-American Invite and the varsity volleyball team travels to Wabasha for the Biever Volleyball Classic.
Good luck to all!

Exciting news from Eyota that our girls cross country team took first place at the meet tonight with Autumn Rakosnik taking first place overall - congratulations!
