Congratulations to the LFCMC Boys and Girls Track Teams! They both qualified to compete at the state true team meet Saturday, 5/18. This marks the 6th year in a row for the boys and 7th year in a row for the girls! Good luck!

Information to know about Lanesboro Prom on May, 4th
The spring meeting of the regional Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) will be held via Zoom on Monday April 29 from 6:30-7:30 pm. The focus topic for the meeting is Extended School Year (ESY) criteria and avoiding the “summer slide”. All parents of special education students are welcome to attend. The Zoom link can be found at Hiawatha Valley Education District (hved6013.org) under Upcoming Events/News. Hiawatha Valley Education District is the special education coordinator for Lanesboro Public Schools and 11 other Southeast Minnesota schools.
Congratulations to Ava Rein and Ashlynn Vagts. They placed 2nd at the Regional FCCLA event in February with a score of 96/100. This placement earned them a spot to compete at the State Conference in April. They place 4th in State. They were two placings away from earning a trip to Nationals.
FFA had a great state convention! Highlights included 10 members earning their Minnesota State Degree and Cyan winning the talent competition and seven other teams and individuals competing. Thank you to the Booster Club for their support!
Sylvan Park is a little cleaner thanks to some helpful Burro students who were celebrating Earth Day!

Update! 3 of our students received a Best in Site! Julia Keasling moves on with her digital photography called Holiday Baking. I can't believe how awesome these kids are!
Two of our students received a Best in Show! Congratulations to Brynn Pfeffer for her sculpture called The Social Features and to William Miller for his 2-D Mixed Media called Alaskan Grandpa. They will move on to the state show! Great job Burro Artists!
The MSHSL Visual Arts Festival is today at Rochester Century High School. We have 18 wonderful entries judged today. Public may view from 1:30 to 3pm.
